This 8.5-hour combo pairs the thrill of a small airboat with the sobering reflection of Whitney Plantation, capturing the wild and the weighty sides of Louisiana in a single day.

Your morning begins on a nimble, high-powered airboat carrying only 6 to 9 passengers. Skim across shallow mudflats and twist through narrow cypress channels where larger boats can never reach, stopping beside basking alligators and nesting egrets while your captain shares stories of Cajun bayou life.

After a comfortable midday ride aboard our executive bus, you'll arrive at Whitney Plantation in Wallace. With a personal audio device in hand, you move through the nation's first slavery museum at your own pace — the restored cabins, the Wall of Names, and the moving memorials drawn from the Federal Writers' Project interviews.

Departure is at 8:00 AM with door-to-door hotel pickup included. Bring a light jacket for the airboat and an open mind for the museum.
