Small Airboat & Laura Combo

Video Preview

This 8.5-hour combo pairs the thrill of a small airboat with the vivid, personal history of Laura Plantation, capturing the wild and the colorful sides of Louisiana in a single day.

Your morning begins on a nimble, high-powered airboat carrying only 6 to 9 passengers. Skim across shallow mudflats and twist through narrow cypress channels where larger boats can never reach, stopping beside basking alligators and nesting egrets while your captain shares stories of Cajun bayou life.

After a comfortable midday ride aboard our executive bus, you'll arrive at Laura Plantation in Vacherie. A knowledgeable escort walks you through the brightly painted French colonial estate, narrating four generations of a Creole family through the memoirs of Laura Locoul Gore — a vivid contrast of color, culture, and personal history against the morning's wild bayou scenery.

Departure is at 8:00 AM with door-to-door hotel pickup included. Bring a light jacket for the airboat and comfortable walking shoes for the plantation.
